Fantasy epic directed by Alex (Cradle of Fear [2000]) Chandon, starring Emily Bouffante, David Warbeck, Jonathan Ross and Marc Lamarr. Pervirella has been described as a cross between Barbarella and Dr Who, ...Barbarella as if shot by Terry Gilliam. With a 'Rock n' roll-victorian-erotic-horror-soundtrack', and special make-up effects by Duncan Jarman and Dominic Hailstone, Pervirella's score is a vintage 60s-style, 64-piece orchestral piece that crosses 'Mike Flowers' with 'Vampyros Lesbos'.Sound engineer Liam Watson of the vintage Toe Rag Studios, recorded live in a converted convent in Islington, London. A Hammond organ, Korg 770, Ondes Martenot, glockenspiel, piano, drum kit, vocal parts and vacuum cleaner pipe digeridoos were overdubbed. Soulful Tony Moriah swung out the impossibly-catchy title song.
The soundtrack LP the film Pervirella exists in two versions.
